VISIT SOUTH OKANAGAN

COMING HOME

1. Project Overview & Concept

“Coming Home” is a heartfelt 2–3 minute hero film that tells the story of returning to the South Okanagan through the eyes of someone who grew up there but hasn’t been back in years.

Told from a first-person perspective, the film will capture the emotional pull of familiar roads, the warmth of small-town hospitality, and the striking beauty of the landscapes from Summerland to Oliver. It will combine cinematic visuals with authentic storytelling, showcasing what makes this region a place people never forget — and always long to return to.

This isn’t just a tourism video — it’s a homecoming.

2. Why Me

I’m a professional filmmaker, photographer, and content creator based on Vancouver Island. I’ve spent the past two decades behind the lens telling stories that resonate — whether through branded campaigns, documentaries, or travel content.

I was raised in the South Okanagan on Vaseux Lake. The region helped shape my creative eye and personal values, and this project is deeply personal. I bring both professional expertise and an insider’s perspective — I know these towns, these roads, and the feeling of coming back after years away.

With my background in cinematic storytelling and content creation, I’ll deliver a final product that is not only visually stunning but emotionally impactful — something that locals, visitors, and future travelers will connect with.
